The Striploin, also known as the New York Strip, is a steakhouse staple β prized for its rich, beefy flavour and perfect balance of tenderness and texture. Cut from the short loin, this steak does minimal work on the animal, making it naturally tender yet firm with a satisfying chew. With a fine grain and moderate marbling, it delivers a full-flavoured bite every time without being overly fatty. Ideal for grilling, pan-searing, or oven-finishing. Sourced from halal-certified beef raised locally in Ontario.
COOKING TIP: Let the steak come to room temperature, season with kosher salt and fresh cracked pepper, and sear in a hot cast iron pan for 2β3 minutes per side. Finish to your preferred doneness, then let rest 5β8 minutes before slicing. For added richness, baste with garlic butter in the final moments of cooking.
